PiAssembly is the industry solution for assembly and test automation from our PiSolutions modular building block system.
Our customers design their plants consisting of specialised machinery and the number of lines, cells and stations are different in each case.
The modular configuration of PiAssembly assists in the setup of the system arrangement. In order to guarantee a fast and consistent connection between the PLC system controls and PiAssembly, we provide our customers with standardised communication blocks.
Our knowledge in the field of PLC programming is highly regarded and, working together with the customer’s IT specialists, produces an effective result from concept to commissioning. PiAssembly has already proven that there are benefits when implemented in your factory. Alarm messages help to analyse start-up problems quickly and efficiently. Production quantities, missing parts, waiting times, faults, etc., are collected and compiled in a report. With PiAssembly, customers also benefit from our many years of experience in the development of interfaces.
PiAssembly – the industry modules
Part or Batch Traceability
Readout and storage of product data such as measured values with batch or single product identification (e.g. via QR code). After each station cycle a time stamp and the relevant process data are stored in the database together with the batch/individual product identification.
Process Data Management
Cyclic readout and storage of process data such as measured values after each machine cycle. There is no reference to the product in the process data acquisition.
Customized Reporting
We cover the requirement of a plant-specific reporting by providing our customer with an Excel template with the desired evaluations (graphical, Pareto, etc.). When running an evaluation such as a historical parameter report, the data is prepared over the selected period and generated as an Excel report.
Customized Adaption to PLC
The connection to the machine control often requires the preparation of an interface specification for the purpose of determining the data structure and data contents. We have the knowledge and the corresponding document templates to ensure a competent connection to the systems.
Customized Importer / Exporter
Export of order, availability and process data to a business level? (e.g. Q-system). Default values can also be imported from a business level system.
A variety of protocols such as XML, CSV, JSON, OPC UA are available. For an implementation of other protocols, we are at your disposal.
PiAssembly the interfaces to machines and devices
Our interface competence helps with the connection of systems based on a PLC control. We have developed our own communication drivers for the following manufacturers, which allow event-based, high-performance communication.
- Beckhoff (ADS communication)
- Siemens (S7 communication including symbolic access)
- Rockwell Automation (CIP)
If the connection is based on the OPC UA or OPC DA protocol, separate communication drivers are also available as a server or client service.
In addition to the standard protocols, controls and peripheral equipment can also be connected via proprietary interfaces.
